About Me


I'm Sonakshi Chauhan I am pursuing MSc in Data Science and Computer Science at the University of Glasgow. I am broadly interested in AI AlignmentMechanistic Interpretability, Causality, and AI Control.

I’m leading a reasoning project at AI Safety Camp; my research proposal can be found here. I’m also collaborating on projects with Cadenza Labs. I also work as an Editorial Assistant at the ACL Rolling Review.

Prior to my MSc, I did my Undergraduate in Computer Science from India during which I collaborated with many exciting people, I worked as a Research Intern at the Pr(AI)^2R group supervised by Dr. Atticus Geiger where I worked on the projects Causal Abstraction for Faithful Model Interpretation and GPT2 summarization and Reasoning Capabilities. I also worked as a Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Science supervised by Prof. Prasanta Kumar Ghosh where I worked on SPIRE-SIES corpus and other ASR-related projects.

I was also the winner of Smart India Hackathon, which is India’s largest hackathon. I was also the runner-up of UNESCO-India Africa International Hackathon. I also have led Toastmasters International and have won International Speech Competitions. I am always open and excited to collaborate on projects and work with people.
